
Neuromorphic Labs has raised $5.1 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round as the Seattle-based startup develops a platform designed to help organizations secure, govern and control artificial intelligence systems used in production.
The round was led by Flying Fish, with participation from Toyota Ventures, Amplify Partners, Tandem Ventures and SaaS Ventures, along with other investors, according to the company’s announcement. Neuromorphic Labs founder and chief executive Chetan Kapoor also publicly confirmed the financing.
The company describes its product as a “trust layer for production AI”. Its stated aim is to give organizations a more controlled and verifiable way to develop, deploy and integrate AI models and agents into business-critical applications and environments.
Neuromorphic Labs says its platform is intended to build security, governance and control into AI systems rather than treating those functions as separate processes. The company says this includes giving models, model weights, datasets and agents verifiable identities, while tracking changes to support provenance and policy enforcement during operation.
The platform is also being designed to work with existing tools and across different computing environments, including public cloud services, on-premises infrastructure, edge systems and hybrid deployments, according to information published about the company.
Neuromorphic Labs is positioning the product around the growing use of AI inside business operations. Its stated mission is to enable organizations to own and continuously improve the AI systems they use, including models, data, agents and the software surrounding them.
The company’s early hiring activity provides further detail about what it is building. A founding forward-deployed AI engineer role says the company is working with customers to integrate its platform into production AI environments, including AI and machine-learning pipelines, model deployment systems and other customer infrastructure. The role covers environments across cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployments.
The same job listing identifies experience with areas including LLM training and inference, model serving, model evaluation and agent-based application systems as relevant to the company’s work. It also mentions security areas such as identity and access control, secrets management, key management and trusted computing.
Another early-stage role, for a founding go-to-market lead, says the company is seeking to turn work with early design partners into a repeatable commercial business. The listing says Neuromorphic Labs does not yet have an established sales playbook and that the role will help shape its customer targeting, positioning and early commercial strategy.
That hiring activity suggests the startup is still at an early stage of product and commercial development. The available public information does not establish a specific number of paying customers, revenue figures or a detailed list of customer deployments.
Kapoor brings experience from the AI infrastructure market. Before founding Neuromorphic Labs, he served as chief product officer at CoreWeave and previously worked at Amazon Web Services, where he was involved in AI infrastructure and compute products. Dealroom also identifies those roles in its company profile.
CoreWeave announced Kapoor as its chief product officer in 2024, when the company was expanding its AI cloud infrastructure business. His professional profile now identifies him as the founder and CEO of Neuromorphic Labs.
The startup’s name could cause some confusion because “neuromorphic” is also widely used to describe brain-inspired computing hardware and systems. Public information about this company, however, describes a software and infrastructure platform focused on AI security, governance, identity, provenance and operational control rather than neuromorphic processors or brain-inspired chips.
Neuromorphic Labs is entering a growing area of the technology market where companies are developing tools to manage AI systems after models have moved from experimentation into real-world business applications. Its approach is to make identity, tracking, security and governance part of the way AI systems are deployed and operated.
The new financing will give the company capital to expand its team and accelerate development of its platform. The company is already recruiting founding-level technical and commercial employees as it works with early customers and design partners.
For investors, the company offers a bet on infrastructure surrounding production AI rather than on building another general-purpose model. Flying Fish’s involvement was publicly acknowledged by partner Frank Chang, who said the firm was excited to begin the journey with Kapoor and Neuromorphic Labs.
The $5.1 million financing was announced in August 2026. Public records and funding databases also list the round as a seed investment and identify Flying Fish, Toyota Ventures, Amplify Partners, Tandem Ventures and SaaS Ventures among the participating investors.
Neuromorphic Labs is still early enough that the public record does not provide a full technical architecture, independent performance testing or detailed customer case studies. Its current public materials primarily describe the platform’s intended capabilities, early hiring plans and the company’s strategy for working with design partners.
