Israeli startup Zenzap has disclosed $44 million in total funding as it emerged from stealth on October 14, 2026, positioning its workplace messaging platform as an AI-powered alternative to WhatsApp for businesses.
The amount represents funding raised over several years rather than a new $44 million round. According to Calcalist’s CTech publication, Zenzap secured an $11 million seed round in 2022, followed by a $33 million Series A that closed in August 2025.
Bessemer Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners co-led the Series A, with participation from The Garage. Individual investors associated with the funding include Wix president Nir Zohar and former EY executive Yoram Tietz.
Founded in 2022 by Guy Weiss, Jonatan Bien and Noam Neumann, Zenzap combines workplace messaging and task management with AI agents that employees can add to team conversations. The agents can connect to business applications, retrieve information and carry out routine tasks, including updating records and coordinating workflows.
The company is targeting businesses whose employees frequently work away from desks, including teams in retail, hospitality and healthcare. These organisations often rely on consumer messaging applications to coordinate shifts, supplies and staff handovers. Zenzap aims to bring those conversations into a company-managed environment where tasks and AI-assisted actions can be handled alongside team communication.
Zenzap says more than 10,000 teams use its platform daily, with over 15,000 active AI agents and more than 40,000 automated workflows created by customers. The company also advertises integrations with more than 400 business applications. These figures are company-reported, and the public announcement did not disclose revenue, valuation or the number of paying customers.
The startup’s product allows teams to configure specialised agents for particular tasks and connect them to external systems. According to Bessemer Venture Partners, the platform also includes permission controls and human approval mechanisms for certain actions. The approach is intended to let employees delegate routine work without leaving their shared conversations.
Zenzap plans to use the funding to expand its product development and sales teams and accelerate international expansion, according to reporting by Calcalist/CTech.
