Ant International’s Antom is restructuring its Southeast Asia leadership, moving DOKU co-founder Nabilah Alsagoff into a regional product role while assigning new country leadership for Indonesia and the Philippines.
Effective September 28, Alsagoff becomes Head of Product, Antom Southeast Asia, with responsibility for regional product development and a unified product roadmap. DOKU co-founder Himelda Renuat becomes CEO of DOKU and Head of Antom Indonesia, while former DOKU CEO Chris Yeo takes the roles of Head of Antom Philippines and Country Head of 2C2P Philippines.
Ant International said the revised structure is intended to strengthen coordination across its Southeast Asian operations and support the development of AI-native services for merchants. The company announced the changes in Singapore on September 28.
Alsagoff previously served as DOKU’s chief operating officer and is one of the Indonesian payments company’s co-founders. Her move places responsibility for Antom’s regional product direction with an executive who has been involved in DOKU’s operations since its early development.
Renuat, also a DOKU co-founder, moves from her previous role as chief marketing officer to lead the company. Her new responsibilities combine management of DOKU with leadership of Antom’s Indonesian business.
Yeo, who became DOKU CEO in 2022, is moving to the Philippines. Antom said his remit will include local operations and strategic partnerships with partners in the Philippine market. His earlier career included leadership roles at Grab and GrabPay, as well as experience at PayPal.
DOKU moves closer to Antom
The leadership changes follow a deeper strategic relationship between Antom and DOKU. DOKU now uses the “DOKU by Antom” branding, while continuing to operate under its own name and licences. The company described Antom as a strategic investor rather than announcing a full merger.
DOKU said the relationship will connect its Indonesian payment methods and merchant network more closely with Antom’s global merchant-acquiring platform and the wider Ant International ecosystem, including Alipay+. It also plans closer cooperation with 2C2P to support Indonesian businesses expanding across Southeast Asia and international merchants entering Indonesia.
DOKU was established in 2007 and says it now serves more than 300,000 merchants. The company holds six payment licences from Bank Indonesia and lists TikTok, Google, Garuda Indonesia, Prudential and Trip.com among its customers. Those figures and customer references come from DOKU’s September 24 announcement.
The same announcement said DOKU’s transaction value increased 79% in 2025, with growth attributed to QR payments and its merchant business.
AI is shaping the wider Antom platform
The Southeast Asia restructuring follows a broader expansion of Ant International’s AI capabilities. In a September 18 announcement, the company unveiled an upgraded product stack covering payments, accounts, foreign exchange, treasury and growth operations.
The company said that stack includes the Antom 3-in-1 Transformer payment foundation model and FalconTST, which it describes as an AI model for foreign-exchange and liquidity forecasting. Ant International also reported that 89.5% of merchants using its main merchant-payment service had deployed its FinAI solutions during the previous 12 months, while 81.4% of payment tasks were AI-assisted.
Those figures are company-reported metrics from Ant International’s September 18 release.
Antom has also been developing payment infrastructure for transactions initiated by AI agents. The company introduced an agentic payment solution in 2025 and later launched the open-source Agentic Mobile Protocol, or AMP, for mobile wallets, super apps and other interfaces used by AI-driven commerce applications.
